UET Lahore Conducts Graduate Program Review and Program Self-Assessment based on PREE Standard for 2025–26: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, through its Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), commenced the Graduate Program Review (GPR) 2025–26 on June 23, 2026, in accordance with the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) guidelines and the PREE Standards 2025–26. The review, approved by the Vice Chancellor and undertaken following the recommendations of the Institutional Quality Cell (IQC), will continue on June 24, 2026.
The review encompasses 109 PhD, MS, M.Phil., and equivalent postgraduate programs offered across UET Lahore Main Campus, Faisalabad Campus, Kala Shah Kaku Campus, Rachna College of Engineering and Technology (RCET), and Narowal Campus. Academic departments presented their Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and supporting evidence before designated Program Assessment Teams.
The assessment is being conducted by a distinguished review panel comprising Director QECs of five public and private universities Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, Asif Saeed Haider, Prof. Dr. Hamid Mukhtar, Dr. Rizwan Shad, Mr. Awais Abdul Wahid from PU, GCU, UMT, UCP and KCWU and Internal reviewers, namely, Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khurram Zahoor, Prof. Dr. Farhan Mahmood, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asim, Dr. Muhammad Irfan Jalees Dr. Muhammad Wasim Tahir, Dr. Abdul Aziz Niazi, Dr. Usman Ilyas, Dr. Umer Mehmood, Dr. Muhammad Waseem, and Dr. Mureed Abbas, who are evaluating program compliance with the PREE Standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Following the review proceedings, the panel held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor, UET Lahore, and shared its observations and preliminary findings. The reviewers appreciated the Vice Chancellor’s commitment to academic quality, the active participation of departments, and the effective coordination of the Quality Enhancement Cell in conducting this large-scale quality assurance exercise.
The Vice Chancellor commended the efforts of the QEC team for successfully organizing and managing the review process and reaffirmed UET Lahore’s commitment to academic excellence, research quality, and continuous improvement. On the occasion, commemorative shields were presented to the members of the review panel in recognition of their valuable services and contributions towards strengthening the University’s quality assurance culture.
