Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz is a veteran urban planner, having thirty years of teaching, research, and professional experience. He is a Professor of Urban Planning at the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He served the National Institute of Transportation, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, as an assistant professor (2008-2011). He served the Local Government and Community Development Department in various positions.
Furthermore, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist in Lab Urba, Institute of d’ Urbanisme, University of Paris Est. Creteil, France, under a joint French Embassy-HEC postdoctoral scholarship. He organized several seminars and training workshops and has participated as a resource person in various such activities. He is an international research expert/evaluator of various universities. He was an international expert on the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. He contributed as an evaluator in British Council Grand Challenge projects initiated by the Higher Education Commission and NRP Projects. As a member of the Environmental Expert Committee, he has contributed to more than thirty environmental audits or impact assessments of the Environmental Protection Department, Govt. of the Punjab. He is a member of the selection boards and other prestigious recruiting departments. As a quality assurance expert/resource person, he contributed to several webinars and training workshops at the national and provincial levels. He was a convener and also an external member/reviewer of various Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) panels made by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for several universities. He is on the Panel of Experts for Institutional Performance Evaluation, MS/PhD Review for several universities, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. He served as a consultant/team leader in the land use plans of 22 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Package-1 Malakand Division (clients are Urban Unit Punjab and P&D Department KPK).

Deputy Director
Engr. Mureed Abbas is serving as Deputy Director at the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He has over 17 years of experience implementing various aspects of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Production (Industrial Engineering) in several prestigious manufacturing and service industries of Pakistan. His most recent employment was at Honda Cars Pakistan Limited. At UET Lahore, he is responsible for the implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework. Mr. Abbas is a Ph.D. Engineering Management scholar at the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore. He graduated from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology and completed his M.Phil. in TQM. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt in Quality, a Lead Auditor of QMS ISO 9001:2015, a Lead Auditor of ISO/TS 16949, and a Lead Auditor of 18001:2007. He is an approved tutor for Lean Six Sigma. He has certified over 200 Lean Six Sigma professionals. In past years he has also served as visiting faculty in many higher education institutions at the postgraduate level. Some of the institutes where he has served are the Institute of Business & Management (IB&M) UET Lahore, Superior University, University of Lahore (UoL), Institute of Business & Finance (IBF), etc. Moreover, he has published his research in internationally recognized, impact factor journals.
